Professor Terence Tao,

I am about your age, I am moved by your humility and sincerity evident in your posts given your own unusual status in the mathematical world. It has been years since I studied math and physics yet returned to my original passion art. Reading your posts made it clear that it was right that I studied math and physics and also right that I didn’t make them my profession since I don’t have the personality and working habits of a practicing mathematician as he should today in the west. Young mathematicians and students should be much benefitted upon hearing your advices.

I also feel particularly satisfied that you are Chinese and Cantonese speaking by origin (so am I).
